BIOGRAFIE:
Lyriel wurde im Herbst 2003 ins Leben gerufen. Im Sommer des Jahres 2004 unterschrieben sie einen Plattenvertrag bei Black Bards Entertainment und begannen mit den Arbeiten an ihrem ersten Album.

Im Januar 2005 wurde ihr Debütalbum „Prisonworld“ veröffentlicht. Lyriel bekamen die Chance Elis auf ihrer „Dark Clouds On A Perfect Sky“ Tour zusammen mit Visions Of Atlantis zu begleiten. Ein weiteres Highlight im Jahr 2005 war Jessicas und Lindas Gastauftritt auf Xandrias drittem Album „India“. Jessica steuerte den Gesang für das Lied „Like A Rose On The Grave Of Love“ bei und Linda spielte Cello auf „The End Of Every Story“ und „Winterhearted“. Im Juli spielte die Band auf dem Celtic Rock Open Air auf Burg Greifenstein und veröffentlichte eine DVD dieses Konzertes.

Im Herbst 2006 veröffentlichten Lyriel ihr zweites Album „Autumntales“. Die mittlerweile verstorbene Elis Sängerin Sabine Dünser fungierte darauf als Gastsängerin und sang das Lied „My Favourite Dream“. Des weiteren spielte die Band auf der „Romantic Darkness Tour“ zusammen mit Xandria und Regicide.

Im September 2008 verließ Schlagzeuger Daniel de Beer schließlich die Band aus persönlichen Gründen und wurde durch Marcus Fidorra ersetzt. Das Line-up hat sich dem mehrfach geändert.

Anfang 2009 erhielt die Band einen neuen Plattenvertrag bei Femme Metal Records und entschied sich dazu ihre ersten beiden Alben neu zu Mastern und als Doppel-CD mit dem Titel „The First Chapters“ wieder zu veröffentlichen. Im April 2010 folgte schließlich das dritte Lyriel Album „Paranoid Circus“.

Im Januar 2011 fanden Lyriel erneut ein neues Label in AFM Records. Sie wiederveröffentlichten „Paranoid Circus“ mit neuem Artwork und begannen die Arbeit an dessen Nachfolger. Im Februar 2012 wurde schließlich das aktuelle Album „Leverage“ veröffentlicht.

BIOGRAPHY: 
Lyriel was founded in the fall of 2003. In the summer of 2004 they signed a record contract with Black Bards Entertainment and started working on their first album. 

In January 2005 their debut album “Prisonworld” was released. Lyriel got the chance to support Elis on their “Dark Clouds In A Perfect Sky” tour, together with Visions Of Atlantis. Another highlight of 2005 was Jessica’s and Linda’s guest appearance on Xandria’s third album “India”. Jessica provided vocals on the song “Like A Rose On The Grave Of Love” and Linda played Cello on “The End Of Every Story” and “Winterhearted”. In July they played at the Celtic Rock Open Air at Greifenstein castle and released a DVD of that show.

In the fall of 2006 Lyriel released their second album “Autumntales”, which features a guest appearance of late ex-Elis singer Sabine Dünser on the song “My Favourite Dream”. They also played on the “Romantic Darkness Tour” with Xandria and Regicide.

In September 2008 drummer Daniel de Beer left the band for personal reasons and was replaced by Marcus Fidorra. Since then the line-up changed several times.

In early 2009 the band got a new record deal with Femme Metal Records and decided to digitally remaster their first two albums and re-release them on a double CD entitled “The First Chapters”. In April 2010 Lyriel released their third album “Paranoid Circus”.

In January 2011 Lyriel once again found a new label in AFM Records. They re-released “Paranoid Circus” with a hole new artwork and started working on their next album. In February 2012 the band finally released their latest album “Leverage”.
