BIOGRAFIE:
Illuminata wurde im Jahr 2006 von Lukas Knöbel (Gitarre) und David Trummer (Schlagzeug) in der schönen österreichischen Stadt Graz gegründet, wo sie ihre Suche nach Leuten, die ihre musikalische Leidenschaft teilten begannen. Anfang 2007 wurde das Line-up von Christoph Vide (Bass), Sabrina Supan (Keyboard) und den Schwestern Katarzyna und Joanna Nieniewska (beide Gesang) vervollständigt. Mit diesem Line-up nahm die Band ihr erstes Album "From The Chalice Of Dreams" auf, welches im Jahr 2008 veröffentlicht wurde. Die EP "Lachrymal" wurde im gleichen Jahr veröffentlicht.

Nach der Veröffentlichung des Albums verließ Joanna die Band aus persönlichen Gründen und wurde von Lisa Tomantschger ersetzt. Im Sommer 2009 veröffentlichten Illuminata die EP "A Frame Of Beauty". Im Sommer 2010 spielte die Band erfolgreiche Konzerte auf dem Metalcamp Festival in Slowenien und dem Rock The Lake Festival in Kärnten. Leider beschlossen Lisa und Dave noch im selben Jahr die Band zu verlassen.

Anfang 2011stellte Illuminata ihre neuen Bandmitglieder vor: Thomas Kern von der österreichischen Band Darkfall wurde der neue Schlagzeuger und Joanna kehrte als zweite Sängerin in die Band zurück. In dieser Konstellation nahm die Band ihr zweites Album "A World So Cold" auf, welches Ende 2011 veröffentlicht wurde.

Der Anfang des Jahres 2012 brachte eine weiter Veränderung für die Band: Joanna verkündete ihren endgültigen Ausstieg von Illuminata und die Band entschloss sich dazu mit nur einer Sängerin weiterzumachen.

BIOGRAPHY:
Illuminata was formed in 2006 by Lukas Knöbl (Guitar) and David Trummer (Drums) in the beautiful Austrian city Graz, where they were searching for other people who shared their passion for music. In early 2007 the line-up was completed by Christoph Vide (Bass), Sabrina Supan (Keyboard) and the sisters Katarzyna and Joanna Nieniewska (both Vocals). With this line-up the band started to record their first album "From The Chalice Of Dreams" which was released in 2008. The EP "Lachrymal" was released in the same year.

After the album release Joanna left the band for personal reasons and was replaced by Lisa Tomantschger. In the summer of 2009 Illuminata released the EP "A Frame Of Beauty". In the summer of 2010 the band played some successful shows on Slovenia's Metalcamp and the Rock The Lake Festival in Carinthia. Unfortunately Lisa and Dave decided to leave the band in the same year.

In early 2011 Illuminata introduced their new members: Thomas Kern from the Austrian band Darkfall became their new drummer and Joanna rejoined the band as second vocalist. In this constellation they recorded their second album "A World So Cold" which was released in late 2011.

The beginning of 2012 brought another change for the band: Joanna announced her definite departure from Illuminata and the band decided to continue with only one vocalist.
